Multidiscipline Clinic Professional Liability

If you own a clinic which provides services other than Occupational Therapy, you may be eligible to purchase the Multidiscipline Clinic Professional Liability insurance.

Multidiscipline coverage is for Professional Liability for the legal entity (the clinic). Each employee must provide confirmation that they carry their own individual Professional Liability insurance.

Application for Professional Liability Insurance for Multidiscipline Clinics

Coverage for International Students

If you are a foreign student, you may apply for Professional Liability insurance while you are studying in Canada provided you meet the following criteria:

Interns

• Require a letter from a University confirming enrolment.
• Require a letter from the Clinic - Start and Finish dates.
• Maximum duration is 33 weeks.
• Work must be performed under supervision.

Licensed foreign occupational therapists

• Must be authorized to work in Canada for the duration of the course by Immigration and CAOT.

Should you wish to apply for coverage, you are required to complete the attached application and forward it to Aon along with the above listed requirements and payment in full.

If you are a support staff, occupational therapy assistant or contractor, you may apply for Professional Liability insurance by contacting CAOT at 1-800-434-2268 for an application.

 
Application for Malpractice for Foreign Students

Commercial General Liability

Commercial General Liability covers your (individual or partnership/corporation) legal liability to third parties imposed by law for bodily injury and/or property damage arising from your premises or business operations.

If you wish to purchase Commercial General Liability insurance as an individual practitioner, you may apply by completing the application and sending it to Aon with payment.
