If you get sick or if you are injured in an accident, the first thing you should do is get medical treatment. If you are on campus, go to the University of Victoria heath-care centre (clinic). There are many other clinics in Victoria or if you are seriously ill or injured you should go to a hospital.
If you get treatment for being sick or injured, you will need to submit a claim to get your money back. OneWorld Assist manages claims for the Aon program. If you need to be put in the hospital for treatment you should contact OneWorld Assist as soon as possible. If you are unable to contact them, have someone else contact them for you.
You can call them toll-free at 1-800-663-0399. They will provide full assistance and multilingual service for medical emergencies, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. This number is also on the wallet card that will be provided to you when you purchase this insurance.
If you need to see a doctor, because you are sick or injured, you will need to pay the bill and then send it to OneWorld Assist so you can collect what you've paid. You need to fill out a claim form completely regardless of the amount.
